Q. Does this class provide the state of Texas requirements to serve as a court-annexed mediator?

A. Yes, it does. Mediators successfully completing this Master Class are also qualified to conduct court-annexed cases per Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code Title 7, Chapter 154 Section 23, to serve as a court-annexed mediator.

Q. How is this the Thought Resolution Protocol Different from other mediation approaches?

A. The Thought Resolution Protocol uses a strategically structured and systemized mediator intervention language approach.  This structured mediator intervention language treats the conflict cues in the dispute discussion with absolute impartiality, non-directiveness, and no advice giving.  It fosters a safe and productive mental environment, where the parties are most likely to experience self-empowerment and self-determination, and thereby achieve a mutually satisfactory resolution and a secure, enduring settlement agreement that naturally results.  This approach is also found to be more expeditious than other contemporary methods, as the parties naturally respond in a manner that eliminates the unproductive banter that stalls communication and/or produces an impasse.  In this approach, the mediator focuses on the individual words, gestures, body language, and/or actions, rather than on the personality, agenda, positions, and/or interests.  The mediator intervenes with structured questions to address these conflict cues that disconnect the parties' ability to hold a productive discussion.   The questions are for the parties' deliberation and not for the mediator's enrichment.  The questions are for the parties to consider, if they so choose, and to reconnect the discussion and collaborate communicatively to address the issues of their dispute.

Q. What makes this class "comprehensive"?

A. It delves deep into often-overlooked communication dynamics, and it provides a strategic, structured mediator intervention language that the mediator can rely on to have the confidence to assist their parties in surpassing an impasse.

Q. What mediation approach does this Comprehensive Mediation Master Class teach?

A. This Comprehensive Mediation Master Class teaches the Thought Resolution Protocol. Q. What is Mediation?
